"In the quiet hours when we are alone and there is nobody to tell us what fine fellows we are, we come sometimes upon a moment in which we wonder, not how much money we are earning, nor how famous we have become, but what good we are doing."
--A.A. Milne, author of Winnie the Pooh

Volunteer opportunities
Be a court advocate. Attend court proceedings to let survivors
of domestic violence and sexual assault know
they are in a community that cares.
Help with fundraisers or community awareness events,
or start one of your own !
Work as a direct services volunteer and help clients
with filing court documents and protection orders.
Sort, price, and display items for resale

clerk.
Help as a sexual assault advocate
and let survivors know there is someone
who cares.
Be a shelter volunteer and help with events,
support groups, programs for children, and/or transportation

Our shelter houses women and their children
and assists them in finding safe, happy, and
independent housing. Many times they arrive at our
shelter with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
With help from the community, we are able to
supply them with essentials while they are saving money
to move away from their abuser.
The shelter is always in need of items like:
laundry & dish detergent
tooth paste & brushes
paper towels
toilet paper
shampoo
soap
deodorant
feminine care items
bath towels
cleaning supplies
kitchen towels
bedding (twin & queen)
unopened, over-the-counter medicines
school supplies for children
